About

KnowSyms B.V. is a start-up company from Eindhoven, the Netherlands. KnowSyms stands for "Knowledge Systems". KnowSyms is centered around knowledge retrieval and linked data research and development. We rethink document management and knowledge discovery and aim to help businesses to save time and efforts by enabling semantic and data-centric technologies in their day-to-day operations. Over the last couple of years we have acquired expertise in knowledge retrieval and management in multiple domains including but not limited to energy management, sustainability, separation technology, geo information systems and data integration and reconciliation expertise in general. Amongst other things we focus on various data-centric challenges and provide consulting services.

Our Story

KnowSyms was founded as a result of a long-running research initiative at the Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e) in the context of the document and the knowledge management activities done for AgentschapNL (now RVO), a Dutch governmental agency.

Accomplishments

In 2015 as a part of a joint team with "Semaku B.V." took the first prize participating at Linked Open Data Hack Day with the Linked Data "Book Club" application.
